Kayla Villena is a senior analyst at Euromonitor International based in the Chicago office. She focuses on analyzing the implications of industry shifts on beauty and personal care players and the broader industry, such as changing consumer preferences in North America relative to the global marketplace, megatrends influencing adjacent industries and the ripple effects from industry disruptors and innovators. Leveraging six years of Euromonitor consulting experience before her current work as Euromonitor’s US expert in beauty and personal care, she works closely with mid-size and large beauty stakeholders to understand their strategic goals and where they want to win, often synthesizing beauty insights with retailing insights and Euromonitor’s Beauty Survey.
She has spoken at industry events, such as in-cosmetics North America, Cosmoprof North America and Jefferies’ 2018 Brands Still Matter conference. She is a regular contributor to Natural Products INSIDER and Beauty Packaging and has been featured in Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, CosmeticsDesign and Glossy, among other publications.
Kayla holds a master’s degree in mass communication and a bachelor’s degree in telecommunication from the University of Florida, in addition to concentrations in business administration, media law and classical studies.
